Water Rescue At Narragansett Town Beach On Wednesday
The beach was closed to swimming due to rough conditions, but the Coast Guard had to rescue two teens after one lost his boogie board.

NARRAGANSETT, RI—Two teenage boys survived a close call Wednesday afternoon after a current swept them wayout from Narragansett Town Beach. The Coast Guard said the two were on boogie boards and about 150 yards off the beach when the current dragged them out. Narragansett Fire Department used an inflatable boat to pluck them out of rough surf, and a crew from U.S. Coast Guard Station Castle Hill helped bring them back to shore.
