Navy Woman Killed In I-95 Crash Tuesday: RISP
Elizabeth C. Kingsland, 31, of Mystic, Conn., an active-duty member of the United States Navy, died Tuesday.
HOPKINTON, RI — Troopers are investigating a fatal crash on I-95. The accident happened in Hopkinton around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday about two miles north of Exit 2.
The victim has been identified as Elizabeth C. Kingsland, 31, of Mystic, Connnecticut. She was an active-duty member of the United States Navy.
The car driven by Ms. Kingsland collided with a tractor-trailer truck and went off the road, striking a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the tractor-trailer truck was not injured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by troopers from the Rhode Island State Police Hope Valley Barracks, Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Forensic Services Unit.
