Obituary: Audrey F. Scuncio, 85

Audrey F. Scuncio, 85, of Peace Dale, passed away Wednesday.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph “Jupe” Scuncio.

Born in New York NY, she was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Clara (Longfellow) McAuliffe. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasnt High School. Mrs. Scuncio loved to oil paint on canvass and was an accomplished artist.

She is survived by three children, Terese Marie Scuncio of Narragansett, Joseph “Chuck” Scuncio of Narragansett, and Amy Elizabeth Sawyer of Charlestown; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren,; and a brother, Cornelius McAuliffe of Providence. She was the sister of the late James McAuliffe and Francis McAuliffe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday at St. Francis of Assis Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, NE 68010.
