Obituary: Robert Theadore Walmsley, 84

Robert Theadore Walmsley Sr., 84, of South Kingstown, passed away August 10, 2015.

He was the husband of the late Betty Gonsalves and the former husband of Barbara M. Royster. He was the son of the late Jerry F. and Mary E. (Robinson) Walmsley.

Robert was a graduate of South Kingstown High School and New England Tech for Audio/Visual. He worked at Wakefield Branch Company for several years, Campanella Construction Company, Abbott Glass, and then was a laundry manager for Colonial Hilton and Hopkins Health Center and St. Francis Health Center.

Robert loved to play his guitar and the piano. He was the loving father of Debra A. Brown and her husband Steven, Robert T. Walmsley Jr., Toni-Marie Walmsley, Derick J. Walmsley and his wife Claudia. He also leaves eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of Richard D. Walmsley and his wife Barbara, Bernice M. Young, the late Viola Taber, Jerry E. Walmsley Jr., and William E. Walmsley Sr.

Visiting hours will be Friday August 14, 2015 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 11:00 am in Avery Storti Funeral Home, Wakefield, RI with a burial to follow at New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
