NARRAGANSETT, RI — Fifth graders at the Pier School Wednesday morning participated in "Chalk It Up," an anti-bullying initiative where students and advisers create designs that reflect a positive message out on the school's front walk-way.

"Chalk it up" was originally started in Rhode Island by the Washington County Coalition For Children. The coalition described the initiative's mission on its Facebook page.

"Help us prevent bullying with you and or your child/student’s chalk art creation or a performance piece: an original poem, short story, song, rap, skit, video, or documentary," the coalition said.
