Police Log: 20-Year-Old Arrested On Multiple Charges

South Kingstown Police arrested Cole W. Nayman, 20, 204 Worden’s Pond Road, South Kingstown, on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 9:45 a.m. on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving in possession of a controlled substance, and a felony count of possession of a controlled substance. Police stopped Nayman’s vehicle for speeding on Ministerial Road and, according to reports, saw clear plastic bags and smelled marijuana in the car. After police found Nayman’s license was suspended and placed him under arrest, they found Adderall pills in a locket around his neck.

He was arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on Feb. 9.

Don't Smoke And Drive

Benjamin J. Andrews, 25, of 207A Creek St., West Wrentham, MA, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 8:45 a.m. and charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, and driving in possession of a controlled substance. According to reports, police watched Andrews drag a marijuana pipe while driving on Old Tower Hill Road. He will be arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on Feb. 16.

DUI Charge

Kevin J. Harrington, 31, of 54 Cole Drive, North Kingstown, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 1:41 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, first offense, BAC unknown, and refusal to submit to a chemical test after he was stopped for erratic driving on Route 1. According to police records he is a coach a The Prout School. He will be arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on March 1.

Serial Shoplifting

Kristen Cook, 43, of 507 Academy Ave., Providence, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 12:50 p.m. and charged with shoplifting and a felony count of habitual offender shoplifting. She allegedly stole $145 in merchandise from the Hallmark store on Old Tower Hill Road.
