Police Log: Serial Shoplifter

Colleen K. Deering, 46, of 35 Wyndham Way Apt. 10, South Kingstown, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8:50 p.m. and charged with two misdemeanor counts: shoplifting and habitual offender shoplifting. According to police reports, security at Shaw’s Supermarket on Old Tower Hill Road caught Deering stealing seven items, valued at $60.96. She was arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on Feb. 1.

NCO Violator

Walter E. Hulton, 73, of 2891 South County Trail, South Kingstown, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at noon and charged with domestic violation of a no contact order. He was arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on Jan. 31.

Suspended License Charge

Nuno F. DeJesus, 35, of 201 Meadow St., Pawtucket, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 9:25 a.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license. He will be arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on Feb. 9.

Too Young To Vote, Too Drunk To Drive

A 17-year-old Turin, New York boy was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 2:17 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, first offense, BAC .1-.15.  He was also cited for refusal to submit to a preliminary breath test. The incident was referred to the Juvenile Division.

Arrested On Warrant

Jenna Elizabeth Gaudreau, 21, of 206 Old Lewiston Road, North Monmouth, Maine, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 30 at 6:34 p.m. on a bench warrant from Fourth Division District Court for failure to appear for a technical violation review from a misdemeanor shoplifting charge in Narragansett. She was arraigned in Fourth Division District Court on Jan. 31.

Break In At Tan Masters

A Tan Masters employee reported on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8:23 a.m. that someone smashed a glass door sometime during the previous night and broke into the business, stealing $132 in cash. Police seized evidence from the shop, located at 40 Charles St., and are investigating the incident.
