Police Warn of Shoddy Paving Solicitations

Someone got a substandard paving job and paid cash, police said.

If someone knocks on your door offering a driveway re-paving for some cash, you might want to think twice.

South Kingstown police issued a notice Thursday warning residents of an ”unwarranted door-to-door solicitation” conducted by MTY Paving Co. in South Kingstown.

“Residents have reported that a representative of the company is offering to pave home driveways for cash. A resident reportedly contracted MTY services and paid cash for a sub-standard paving job,” according to police.

“Another resident was solicited by MTY but declined. Police are advising the public to contact the department with any questions or concerns at 783-3321.”
