Red Cross Sends SK Volunteer On Irma Relief

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI – Diane Hollingworth, of South Kingstown, leaves on Thursday to help victims of Hurricane Irma, the Red Cross said. She is among five Rhode Island volunteers being deployed to Irma. The five are new volunteers recruited and trained at the recent rapid deployment trainings, and they are leaving on their first assignment. The volunteers will meet up with Connecticut volunteers and drive four emergency response vehicles to support Hurricane Irma relief. These emergency response vehicles will join five other emergency response vehicles already deployed from hhode Island and Connecticut to help with Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma relief efforts.
The others are Joseph Kraus, of Warwick; Robert Abbruzzese, of West Warwick; and Debra and James Moroney, of Pascoag.
