Starting December 1, almost everything at Waves Of Creation on Main Street in Wakefield will be sales tax free because of the new statewide artisan tax exemption. Waves Of Creation carries the works of over 140 artisans, most from RI and New England.
Think of it this way...for every $50 you spend, you will save the equivalent of a gallon of gas. I'd say it is worth seeking out handmade/artisan made from now on, wouldn't you?
