SK Cops Not Cool With Whoever Dumped Red Pleather Sofa On Road

Dumping your sofa on the side of the road is not the recommended way to get rid of it.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Police are looking to identify who illegally dumped a two-piece sectional couch on the side of the the road. On Tuesday, the department posted a photo of the red pleather sofa on the side of Post Road.

"The South Kingstown Police Department is looking for your assistance in locating the subject(s) responsible for dumping this unwanted red pleather sectional couch.," the post read, calling it an "eyesore."

The couch was left at the intersection of Post Road and Old Post Road, at the beginning of Main Street.

Members of the community thanked the department for addressing the couch, saying it has been there for more than a week. Another commented that furniture is frequently abandoned in the area.
