SK Woman Died From Drowning: State Medical Examiner
Nancy Degnan-Couch, 61, died from drowning, the state medical examiner said.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI—The state medical examiner said Tuesday the cause of a South Kingstown woman's death was drowning. Nancy Degnan-Couch, 61, was found near the pool at her home a week ago Saturday. According to South Kingstown police, officers responded to 100 Wildflower Trail early that morning. She had been pulled out of the pool and was on the ground when police arrived. Capt. Joel Ewing-Chow said earlier no details are being released. The investigation is still ongoing, he said, and police were waiting for the state medical examiner to determine the exact cause of death.
