Small Fire at The Towers Knocked Down

The fire was reported around 6:30 p.m.

NARRAGANSETT, RI – Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, the fire department put out a small fire on the exterior of The Towers, the Town's historic landmark. According to Capt. Peter Taylor, the fire was confined and did not affect the structure's interior. It caused some damage to the exterior siding, he said.

The cause appears to be "a grease fire," he said, due to use of a fryolator.
