Rhode Island Association of Realtors cite property sales as up overall in 2011 over the previous year, but things are off to a slower start in January 2012.

With just 13 closed property sales to boast so far this year, sales are down from 23 in the first few weeks of January in 2011, according to the Statewide Multiple Listing Service, which tracks realtor-aided property sales throughout the state.
