South Kingstown High School Students Seriously Injured In Crash

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. -- Three South Kingstown High School students were seriously injured in a crash late Friday night. Counselors were available for students at the school on Saturday afternoon.

According to South Kingstown Police, Evan Conover, 18, was driving Aidan Mulligan, 18, and another juvenile passenger on Curtis Corner Road when his vehicle. a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta swerved off the road and went through a fence, landing in a horse pasture.

Mulligan was flown by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries, while Conover and the other passenger were taken to South County Hospital. Their current condition is unknown at this time.

Counselors were available to students at the high school from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and is being investigated by the Accident Reconstruction Unit.
