South Kingstown Man Charged with Soliciting Minor for Sex
Police said William Schock, 20, was soliciting a 13-year-old Coventry child.
A 20-year-old South Kingstown man is facing charges of indecent solicitation of a minor and electronic dissemination of indecent material to a minor.
William Schock, 20, of 236 Kenyon Ave., South Kingstown, was arrested Friday after a raid at his home following a Rhode Island Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation that began with a tip given to the Coventry Police Department.
Coventry police, according to a state police release, were alerted to an individual soliciting the 13-year-old through social media.

Schock was soon identified as a suspect by Coventry police and ICAC agents and police got a warrant for his arrest.
Schock was arraigned before Judge Terence Houlihan Jr. in Fourth Division District Court and was released on $5,000 personal recognizance.

He was ordered to stay off the internet and not have any contact with children as well as the victim.
He is due to return to court on July 23 for a prearraignmnent conference.
It does not appear that Schock had any inappropriate contact with juveniles, police said.
A quick review of Schock’s social media accounts shows he engaged in numerous conversations with underage girls.
