South Kingstown Police Holding Holiday Book Drive
The department hopes to donate at least 250 books to kids in need during the week of Christmas.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Starting Friday, the South Kingstown police will be collecting books for kids for the holiday season. The department plans to distribute the books to thse in need during the week of Christmas.
The book drive will run from Nov. 1 through Dec. 16. All reading levels, from kindergarten through twelfth grade, are needed. New and like-new books will be accepted.
The department hopes to collect at least 250 books to give to kids in need during Christmas time.

Donations can be dropped off at the police department's headquarters. Other drop-off locations will be announced at a later date.
