South Kingstown Reopens Dog, Skate Parks; Tennis Courts

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — With the end of the stay-at-home order in Rhode Island starting the gradual reopening of the state's economy, the town of South Kingstown has reopened several public areas. The town skate park, dog park and tennis courts will reopen Saturday, with strict capacity limits and social distance requirements.

The dog park at Broad Rock Play Fields, the skate park at Old Mountain Field and select tennis courts will be open for singles play only. Everyone at these facilities will be required to follow social distancing guidelines and there will be limits on the number of people allowed to use the facilities and limited hours.

"We recognize the importance of getting outside, getting fresh air, and getting exercise, however if appropriate social distancing, gathering limits, and facility usage restrictions still in place are not adhered to, closures may need to be considered," the town wrote in a statement.
