Special 'Taste Of The Market' Event Coming To Casey Farm
The free event will include tastings, samplings of local produce and beer, free activities for children and more.
SAUNDERSTOWN, RI — The Coastal Growers Market will hold a special event this weekend at Casey Farm, featuring tastings from area farms and restaurants, as well as music and activities for kids. The "Taste of the Market" will run during regular farmer's market hours, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Formerly known as "Tomato Day," the event brings together the best of the community. Local restaurants Celestial Cafe in Exeter and Trio Restaurant in Narragansett will provide dishes, while market vendors and Casey Farm will provide samples of fresh produce and other products. Ravenous Brewery and Whalers Brewing Company will also be there to offer pairings and beer samplings.
Alongside the special activities, the regular farmer's market will run, allowing the public to purchase local produce, meat, cheese, prepared foods, flowers and more. The market is free and open to the public, and will happen rain or shine. Donations will be accepted.
