The state health department is recommending the West Kingstown beach be closed for swimming.

WEST KINGSTOWN, RI —Larkin’s Pond Beach in West Kingston should be closed for swimming, the state health department said Wednesday. When a beach closure is recommended, water quality analysis is conducted by RIDOH's laboratory or a state-certified laboratory. The status of a beach may change daily.
