The Fight for Grace
A Narragansett High School senior hopes to raise money and awareness in the fight to find a cure for Rett Syndrome.
Narragansett High School Senior Andrew Morvan, along with 161 Boxing owner Ryan Carlson, hosted the Fight for Grace in the high school gymnasium this past weekend.
Morvan developed the event as part of his senior project.
The Fight for Grace was organized in honor of Grace Reddington, a Narragansett Elementary School student suffering from Rett Syndrome, a neurodevelopmenal disorder affecting almost exclusively girls.

With Carlson's direction, Morvan planned an extreme workout circuit focusing on balance and core strength. He also created informational pamphlets detailing Rett Syndrome as part of his project.
Participants paid $20 to work out, with all proceeds going to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation. The IRSF mission is to fund research for treatments and a cure for Rett Syndrome.
