Town Of South Kingstown: Public Work Session For Old Mountain Field Master Plan

As part of the master plan development process for Old Mountain Field, the public is invited and encouraged to attend a second work session scheduled for Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 6pm at the South Kingstown Recreation Center, 30 St. Dominic Rd., Wakefield. Town staff, representatives of Beta Group Inc. and the South Kingstown Recreation Commission, welcome input and discussion on a draft Master Plan.

The first public work session was held on April 13th, 2023. The Town's consultant, Beta Group, took input and feedback from members of the community, as well as representatives of stakeholder groups, and developed an initial conceptual plan. Since that time, Beta Group has worked with Town staff to refine the concept and produced a draft master plan that was presented at the South Kingstown Recreation Commission meeting on Monday, August 21st.

As the planning continues, the public is urged to take part in this process to ensure that Old Mountain Field will meet the needs of our community well into the future, while maintaining its historical and cultural significance in South Kingstown.
