Town Of South Kingstown: TOWN BUDGET REFERENDUM

An all-day Budget Referendum will be held on Tuesday, June 6th to vote on a petition to reduce the Town's Property Tax Transfer to the School Fund by $1.5 million.

Voting will take place at the Community Recreation Center, 30 St. Dominic Road in Wakefield. The polls will be open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for those electors in the Town of South Kingstown qualified to vote in this Budget Referendum on one (1) petition to amend the Town Council’s Final Budget adopted for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.

Persons unable to vote on the day of the referendum may apply to the Board of Canvassers for an emergency ballot at the Town Clerk’s Office, 180 High Street, Wakefield beginning on Wednesday, May 31st and ending on Monday, June 5th at 4:00 PM. For information, call 401-789-9331 extension 1231.
