Unconscious Boy Rescued From Water In South Kingstown

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A child was pulled from the water in South Kingstown on Sunday afternoon. According to South Kingstown police, the 5-year-old was unconscious when he was rescued and rushed to South County Hospital for treatment.

The incident happened just after 4:45 p.m. at the beach behind the 1100 block of Succotash Road. Both Narragansett and South Kingstown emergency responders were called to help with the rescue. The child's current condition was not released.

South Kingstown police contacted the child's family and are currently investigating.
