Upcoming Events from the Friends of the Narragansett Library
The Annual Meeting is a chance to join the Friends or just learn more about how this vibrant group supports library programs.

The Friends of the Narragansett Library will hold the Annual Meeting and election of officers on Monday, May 1 at 12 noon. The meeting will be a pot-luck luncheon, with set-up beginning at 11:45 a.m. New members are welcome, as well as anyone interested in learning more about the Friends and what the group accomplishes for the library. You do not need to bring a food item to attend the meeting. For more information, contact Mary Ann Grintchenko, president, at mag131@cox.net. The meeting will take place at the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library, 35 Kingstown Rd., Narragansett.
The Friends are looking for volunteers to help set up for the annual Book Sale. Volunteers are needed to help set up books Monday-Thursday, June 5-8. Volunteers do not need to be members of the Friends group. If you would like to help, please send an email to Mary Ann Grintchenko at mag131@cox.net. Include your name and times you would like to volunteer. The Book Sale is one of the major fundraisers that allow the Friends to support many programs and events at the library. The Sale takes place Thursday-Saturday, June 8-10.
Jewelry donations are now being accepted at the library for the September Jewelry Sale and fundraiser. New or used jewelry of all types are welcome. Please place donations in the treasure chest, located near the library's circulation desk.
