Wakefield Bank Robbed: SK Police
Chartway Federal Credit Union, 172 Main St., in Wakefield, was held up at 3 p.m.

WAKEFIELD, RI — The Chartway Federal Credit Union, 172 Main St., in Wakefield, was held up at 3 p.m. The suspect is described as a white male, possibly 30-40 years of age, brown or black hair, wearing a white and dark black or blue striped button down shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes, police said. Officers from South Kingstown, Narragansett and the Rhode Island State Police immediately responded and canvassed the area.
The suspect did not show a weapon and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. If anyone has any information about his identity they are asked to call South Kingstown Police immediately at 401-783-3321.
