Wakefield Robbery Suspect Arraigned: Courts
William Bailey, 31, was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, according to court records.

WAKEFIELD, RI — South Kingstown Police have arrested a suspect in connection with Wednesday's holdup of the Chartway Federal Credit Union, 172 Main St., in Wakefield. William Bailey, 31, of West Warwick, was scheduled to be arraigned in Fourth District Court on Friday. He was charged with two counts of second degree robbery, according to court records.

Bailey, who was allegedly caught on surveillance camera, robbed the credit union around 3 p.m., police said. He did not show a weapon and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
South Kingstown police said Friday Bailey was arrested on Thursday, with cooperation from the Warwick and Narragansett police departments. The police also thanked the public for their assistance.
