1,000 Bike to Folk Fest

One tenth of the attendees of the Newport Folk Festival took to bikes over the weekend, said Bike Newport.

And with record crowds this year, the traffic in and out of Newport was particularly rough, especially with a number of construction projects ongoing in the city.

But, according to Bike Newport, one tenth of the people going to the festival anticipated traffic woes and avoided stop-and-go headaches by planting their feet on the pedals.
