NEWPORT, RI — The following people were arrested by Newport police between Friday and Sunday.

Names of those arrested or the town they reside in were only omitted when not provided by police.

Friday

10:23 p.m. — Jorge Herinquez Galdamez, 31, of Westerly, was charged with driving with an expired license or without a license (forth offense or greater).

Saturday

1:31 a.m. — William Mueller, 25, of Natick, Massachusetts, was charged with DUI of liquor 0.15 or greater (first offense).

7:35 a.m. — Edwardo Figueroa Cruz, 43, of Newport, was charged with a bench warrant out of Second District Court.

8:40 a.m. — Brandt Ambrosia, 26, of Webster, Massachusetts, was charged with a bench warrant out of Second District Court

7:14 p.m. — Lina Gerruolo, 66, of Westerly, was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting.

9:38 p.m. — Michael Harvey, 62, of Newport, was charged with refusal to submit to a chemical test and DUI of drugs/alcohol (first offense).

Sunday

1:50 a.m. — Michael Murphy, 58, of Newport, was charged with drinking/possessing an open container of alcohol in public.

1:55 a.m. — Robert James, 57, of Newport, was charged with drinking/possessing an open container of alcohol in public.

3:10 a.m. — Alecia Cahill, 33, of Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts, was charged with obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.

7 p.m. — Shane Peter, 39, of Newport, was charged with drinking/possessing an open container of alcohol in public.
