Aldi Brand Flour Recalled For E. Coli Risk
Five-pound bags of Baker's Corner flour with the best if used by date of December 2, 2019 have been recalled.

Five-pound bags of Aldi's "Baker's Corner" brand flour have been recalled due to possible E. coli contamination. The recalled bags have a "best if used by" date of December 2, 2019 and the lot code L18A02B. The recall only applies to this one lot of flour.
The Rhode Island Department of Health said in a release that E. coli bacteria was found in a lab test at the department's lab. Anyone with the recalled flour is urged to dispose of it immediately.
E. coli bacteria infections can cause severe stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea, which can sometimes be bloody. Most people become ill three to four days after ingesting tainted food and recover within a week, though serious complications can occur. Young people, the elderly, anyone with a weakened immune system and pregnant women are the most susceptible to food-borne illnesses.
