Bailey's Beach Closed For High Bacteria Levels
The Rhode Island Department of Health closed the beach for swimming.
NEWPORT, RI — Spouting Rock Beach, also known as Bailey's Beach, is closed the swimming. The Rhode Island Department of Health announced the closure due to high bacteria levels Thursday evening.
The department will continue to test the water until it is declared safe again for swimming. The latest closure information is available by calling the department's prerecorded beach line at 401-222-2751.
