Ballard Park's Wonderful World of Trees Children's Workshop
Ballard Park's Children's Workshop is a hands-on nature program for kids 6-12 years old. Kids will learn about the parks trees and animals.
Workshop participants will examine the trees of Ballard Park and learn about the animals that live in them. Our educator will share how to identify trees by their bark and leaves. Children will learn to make colorful tree rubbings which they can bring home and post of the fridge. This one and a half hour program offers hands-on activities in a fun learning environment.
This class is best suited for children 6 to 12 years old. Younger and older siblings are welcome. The Cost is $5 per child. Adults are free and encouraged to attend. Meet at the Hazard Road entrance. Friends of Ballard Park is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, maintaining and promoting Newport’s Only Nature Preserve.
