Newport Man Arrested On Gun Charges: Cops
The Newport man was arrested by the Intelligence Unit and the Tactical Team, police said.
NEW LENOX, RI — A Newport man was arrested on gun charges, police said.
Alexander Bestoso, 28, was arrested Thursday by the Rhode Island State Police Intelligence Unit and Tactical Team, the state police said in a media release.
Bestoso was charged with carrying a pistol or revolver without a license or permit, large-capacity feeding devices prohibited, manufacturing, selling, purchasing or possessing ghost or 3-D printed guns, and unlawful devices attached to a semiautomatic weapon allowing automatic fire, the release said.

Bestoso was arraigned by a justice of the peace and taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men's Intake Center, according to the release.
