Beach In Newport Reopens After Closing For High Bacteria Levels

NEWPORT, RI — Another Rhode Island beach is once again safe for swimming, the Department of Health said.

Hazard's Beach in Newport is safe to reopen, following its bacteria levels returning to normal.

The Newport beach was closed late last week along with several others in Rhode Island, following a day of extremely heavy rain.
