BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF THE OCEAN STATE RELOCATES WESTERLY DONATION DROP-OFF CENTER
The new facility will serves Westerly and surrounding communities
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State (BBBSOS) has announced the relocation of Westerly Donation Drop-Off Center to 105 Franklin Street to serve Westerly and the surrounding area.
The Donation Drop-Off Center, relocated to the Mill Pond Plaza at 105 Franklin Street in Westerly, is now open and accepting donations of gently used clothing, shoes, and small household items. The new center serves to create an additional, sustained source of revenue for the youth mentoring programs of BBBSOS.
“Everyone in our agency is excited to be moving into our new location in Westerly,” said Deb Saunders, BBBSOS President and CEO. This new location will allow us to better serve the community with easier access to a Center that will not only be a convenient place to drop off donations of gently used clothing and other household items, but will also bring us closer to many of the boys, girls and mentors we work with every day.”

Every BBBSOS Donation Drop-Off Center has easy, open parking and is staffed to assist donors and accepts a wide variety of donations of all sizes, seasons and gender of gently used clothing, shoes, blankets, sheets and towels as well as small household items such as books, toys, and home décor items are accepted. We provide all of our donors with tax receipts. Items collected at the Center will be sold through its retail partner, Savers, and the proceeds will be used to fund the agency’s mentoring programs. Unfortunately, due to space constraints, furniture, appliances and other large items cannot be accepted. A complete list of accepted donation items is located on the agency’s website.
