Minor Damage, No Injuries In Boat Collision Near Newport Bridge: Coast Guard
The Coast Guard said Wednesday two sailboats in a race collided near the Newport Pell Bridge. One boat sustained minor damage.
NEWPORT, RI — Two sailboats in a race collided near the Newport Pell Bridge around 6 p.m. Wednesday. The Coast Guard said no one was injured. One boat sustained minor damage. The other boat was not damaged. Initially, it appeared the second boat was missing, but the Coast Guard did locate it, the station said.
