WHY we love them not only do they save animals, but they are also striving to save the planet. the potter league is the first building in the state (and first animal shelter in the country) to be a green LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certified structure.

christie smith, executive director of the potter league says "the sensitivity to the environment and our wetlands site is another reason the community can trust us to always be working to do the ‘right’ thing."
the non-profit's holistic approach also believes in being a part of the adoption process from "cradle to grave", says christie. "from private cremation services, to a sympathetic ear, to heartfelt hugs, to a pet loss support group," they are there for you and your pooch.
what is coming up next for the potter league? the annual critter glitter event is "our now famous annual jewelry sale", says christie. shop at the shelter for fabulous jewelry by sequin at deeply discounted prices. it opens at 5pm THIS friday, november 30 through sunday, december 9. even better, owner kim renk donates 100% of the profit back to the potter league.
that's right 100% goes to puppies and kittens. how could you NOT go?
