Oxygen Plows

Can anyone explain to me why we are paying people to plow the air off the city streets? I have lived off America's Cup Ave. for over three years and have observed this blatant scam repeatedly. I assure you this is not an isolated incident. During every snowfall, no matter how slight, the city's plows are out as though we were dealing with the Blizzard of '78. C'mon! The last time it snowed, these guys were going to beat the band. In one instance, I observed three of them in a row. By row, I mean each one a car length behind the other. In fact, these thieves (yes, thieves) did such a thorough job that there were sparks coming off the plows...and then they came back for more. It is also interesting to note that after the state spent all this money on these ridiculous bike lanes that the city would then pay snow plow drivers to destroy the roads by dragging thousands of pounds of steel over them. This a clear case of fraud and it is beyond my ken how the city's leadership can turn a blind eye to it. Its hard to take a city's financial woes seriously when it pays for this foolishness. Does anyone keep an eye on these clowns? And no. We don't need a six figure consultant to fix this. Just common sense.
