Pell Bridge Run is for a great cause

Do not miss the Pell (Newport) Bridge Run

The Pell Bridge Run is finally upon us! Starting at 6.30am this Sunday, November 11, walkers and runners alike will begin in Jamestown and make their way over the beautiful Claiborne Pell Bridge en route to finishing in Downtown Newport. We here at the Brick Alley Pub are happy to support this event and their mission of donating all 100% of the proceeds to local not-for-profits. For those planning on participating in the run, take note of the Parking and Shuttle situation:

Parking: There is NO PARKING at the race start in Jamestown. All athletes must use the shuttles from Newport or be dropped off at the designated athlete drop off locations. Parking Locations Map.

Shuttles: Shuttles will run from the Newport Convention and Visitors Bureau in Downtown Newport to the race starting line in Jamestown beginning at 4:30 a.m.

Drop Off Location: Athletes wishing to be dropped off near the starting line coming from Newport will take the East Shore Rd exit just after the toll plaza and head north on East Shore Road until they arrive at the designated drop off location.Drop-Off Locations Map.

 

When you are done with the race be sure to make your way down to Thames St. for some post-race nourishment! Brick Alley Pub will be open starting at 7am offering a limited Breakfast-of-Champions Menu of Sailor Sandwhiches, Clam Chowder, and Lobster Bisque. Newport Storm has also donated some refreshments to the cause and proceeds from the morning Storm sales will be donated to a local veterans’ group in recognition of Veteran’s Day.
