Escobars Highland Farm Corn Maze in Portsmouth, RI is open for the season! This past Saturday was my first time taking in this annual rite of autumn. I feel like I have been missing out all of these years. I just happened to call my brother Ralph, of mindprotein.com, as he was about to enter the Middle Road property on Saturday afternoon with our mom, our two sons, his fiance and her sister. After purchasing our tickets ($7 for adults and free for the kids - a great deal) we opted for the easier of the two routes and followed our two toddling tour guides through the winding dirt paths. After about thirty minutes we emerged successfully out of the other side having completed the maze. It was such a nice day we hung around for a while and played with the kids and reminded ourselves just how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place.
The corn maze is open until November 4, at which point the corn will be cut down and fed to the dairy cows throughout the winter.
