What Are the Side Effects From CooperVision Contact Lenses?

Contact lenses, manufactured by CooperVision, have been recalled for having been linked with certain side effects.

Thousands of packages of Avaira Toric and Avaira Sphere contact lenses, manufactured by CooperVision, have been recalled in November 2011 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for having been linked with certain side effects requiring medical treatment. If you wear any of these contact lenses and experience any of the above symptoms, CooperVision recommends that you stop wearing these contact lenses immediately and contact your eye care practitioner for advice. Even if you are not experiencing any symptoms, they recommend that you go to their website and enter the lot number of your package to determine whether they have been recalled. If your lenses have been recalled, immediately remove them and discontinue wearing them and return your lenses to your eye doctor or the point of purchase.

While some of the side effects may seem not so serious at first, they may lead to damages that require longer period of treatment and medical care. The injuries may also cause lost opportunities and wages on the part of the injured individual. If you have suffered total loss of vision or other eye injuries you may be entitled to significant compensation from CooperVision due to pain and suffering, wages lost due to the eye injury, and the effect from your loss of vision on your relationship with the people around you.
