High school students from Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Jamestown, Tiverton, and Little Compton are invited to attend. The focus of the workshop is jobs related to carpentry skills.

Students can contact their local high school guidance counselor or school-based coordinator for more information, or contact Heidi Willner by email: heidiwillner@newportrischools.org.

The Newport County Mentor Co-op was developed three years ago to create career opportunities for students at the county’s five high schools. Middletown Town Councilor Chris Semonelli is a member of the co-op, along with local business people and educators from across Newport County.
