City Sends 8,000 Newporters Citizen Input Survey
The survey, mailed April 15, seeks to identify resident concerns. A link to an online version of the survey will be posted by Friday.

A citizen input survey has been mailed to 8,000 Newport residents as part of the city’s “ongoing effort to identify and respond to resident concerns,” according to a release from the city’s finance department.
The city chose ETC Institute to administer the citizen survey and they were mailed last Wednesday to the 8,000 randomly selected recipients.
If you get a survey, you can send it back after filling it out the enclosed postage-paid envelope. You can also complete it online after the city posts a link to the city website. That link is supposed to be posted by Friday, April 24.

ETC will tabulate the results of the non-statistically valid survey and the plan is for city officials to learn about the issues Newporters find most important.
“In order to ensure that the City’s priorities are aligned with the needs of our residents, we need to know what you think,” a press release stated.
