Newport Laundry Love

Thanks to nonprofit collaboration with Strategic Prevention Partnerships' No Wrong Door Behavioral Health, Newport Laundry Love will continue as a program of the MLK Community Center. Laundry Love is a national nonprofit that partners with diverse groups and laundromats across the country to provide free laundry services to those in need.

Newport Laundry Love will continue at Mid-Island Laundromat at 232 West Main Rd., Middletown RI on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Due to Thanksgiving and Christmas, the second sessions of November and December will be held on Monday, November 23 and Monday, December 21. In 2027, the program will continue a regular biweekly schedule.

No registration is required, and machines are available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 3:00 p.m. The last loads of the session must be in the machines by 5:15 p.m.
