Delays Sunday & Road: 4 Bridges Ride
Cyclists will be starting in North Kingstown on the ride over the Jamestown, Newport, Sakonnet and Mount Hope bridges.

JAMESTOWN — The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority (RITBA) Foundation announced today that due to its charity event, the 4 Bridges Ride on Sunday, September 17th, early morning motorists in the Jamestown, North Kingstown and Newport area should be prepared for slight delays and traffic detours. The 4 Bridges Ride, a 26-mile charity bike ride hosted by the RITBA Foundation, will begin at 7:00 a.m. Police will begin blocking off some roads in the aforementioned towns as early as 4:30 a.m.
During the course of the 4 Bridges Ride, cyclists will pedal across the four bridges owned by RITBA - the Jamestown, Newport, Sakonnet and Mount Hope Bridges - for a total of 26 miles. The ride begins at 7:00 a.m. at the 'park-and-ride' lot on the North Kingstown side of the Jamestown Bridge and ends outside Roger Williams University on the Bristol side of the Mount Hope Bridge.
