Late summer is a great time to observe one of the flashiest families of flying insects, the Odonata or dragonflies and damselflies. These large carnivorous insects are generally easily recognized and observed but do you know the difference between the two? In this program we will spend some time inside exploring what makes these closely related insects so fascinating, and then go down to the Norman Bird Sanctuary pond to search for living examples.
