NEWPORT, RI — Easton's Beach in Newport can reopen after closing Wednesday for high bacteria levels, the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) said Thursday.

RIDOH officials said they will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout summer.
