Easton's Beach In Newport Reopens To Swimming
Bacteria levels at the Newport beach have returned to normal, the Rhode Island Department of Health said.

NEWPORT, RI — Easton's Beach (also known as First Beach)has reopened for swimming, the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) said Thursday.
On Wednesday, RIDOH had recommended the closure because of high bacteria levels making it unsafe to swim. Bacteria levels have since returned to normal, health officials said.
RIDOH officials said they will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout summer.
