Internationally recognized artists Scherer & Ouporov will teach the ancient technique of egg tempera painting and gilding in a 5-day painting workshop for all levels from beginning to advanced. All aspects of the medium will be covered, from the mixing of the paints from dry pigments and egg yolk, underpainting, glazing and water-gilding to the embellishment with gold leaf and gems. Combining both Eastern icon and Western panel painting traditions, Scherer & Ouporov will provide in depth, hands-on instruction.
