Saturday is "Give Back" Day at Skate Newport in which the public is invited to go skating and give back at the same time. The rink will be collecting new or gently used winter coats for the St. Joseph's Food Bank, holding a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and collecting $1 donations for the RI Special Olympics which the rink will match. There will also be kids' activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and free samples of Dunkin' Donuts and hot chocolates will be given out. Blood donors will have the choice of receiving a Free Skate Pass or one pound of Dunkin' Donuts coffee.
Regular skate admission fees apply to those skating.
